Take a breather and celebrate your wins, big and small

It’s super early as I write this, as I just picked up one of my clients from the airport. Even though I have a chance to get another hour of sleep before I have to wake my kids up for school, it takes awhile for me to wind back down, so I figured I’d write a bit instead.

I didn’t get much sleep last night trying to put together the final odds and ends for the weekend. I’ll admit that I’m pretty tired, but I have this adrenaline rush of excitement for the festivities this weekend. I get to spend the weekend with some of my clients from across the country, practicing some self-care and personal growth in the way I like to facilitate it, and over 100 people are coming to celebrate my book launch party tomorrow. These people come from all walks of life, ranging from my family, to friends, to work colleagues, to people I have yet to meet. I’m so thrilled.

This has been a crazy month, as you know, and I feel like I haven’t been able to breathe much. I felt a quite a bit of overwhelm. I had to set aside some of the things I put in place to keep me “balanced” (for instance, I have to admit I’ve had quite a bit of fast food in the last two weeks) just to get it done without going bananas. And the truth is, sometimes you have to set aside all the normal, and that’s completely okay. But, one thing I haven’t had a chance to do yet since my book has launched is truly celebrate this accomplishment, so I’m going to take a break for the first time in a while and truly CELEBRATE. Let go of all the “work” and “party like it’s my birthday” (oh wait, it is my birthday). I don’t normally like to put up a vacation message on my email (as I like to be super flexible and available), but I did it. I’m going to unplug from the minutia and be completely present with my clients and tribe this weekend.

This weekend I would love for you to do the same – celebrate. Have you acknowledged all your hard work and accomplishments in these first four months of 2017? The size of the accomplishment doesn’t matter. It can be as simple as, “I focused on not complaining for a day!” or “I decluttered a room in my house!” The truth is you’re moving, and getting things done. Please celebrate that. Post in the comments below the accomplishment you’re celebrating.

To wrap up my monthly theme of FUN (but the fun doesn’t stop here!), I wanted to send you to my Instagram account to check out the 7-day dance challenge I did earlier this month for no reason other than to just infuse more fun into my day (I had over 1,000 views over the course of the week! My kids helped me out in some of them as well.) I also did a 30 day challenge in April 2016 if you want scroll back through my feed!

Over the next couple months, I’m planning on focusing on business and career topics, as I do some reflecting and planning for my own business, so if you have any questions you’d like me to address, please send them my way.

Have a fantastic weekend, and celebrate!!!
